Robert Walters Thailand implemented its BCP on March 16, 2020, to ensure the safety of its clients, candidates, and employees. With this plan, all Robert Walters Thailand staff will be working remotely from home, but will remain contactable through their emails and mobile phones. Office lines are directly transferred to employees’ working devices or mobile phones, making technology a very important enabler during this time.
Punyanuch shares, “Our office has always been preparing its BCP as we don’t know when a crisis may arise, and we have to ensure the business can run as usual during any circumstances. We are well-prepared for what happens during our BCP – staff are required to take their working devices home on a daily basis, we know who is in charge and who we can contact, and most importantly, we have implemented technologies (software and hardware) that our staff are knowledgeable about, and are able to use from anywhere. As a result, we can work from our homes smoothly and efficiently.”
She also shares that managers are required to have regular video catch-ups with their team members – to ensure they are safe, to find out if they need anything to work more effectively, and most importantly, to let them know they are still part of the company.
