Human Resources Manager Salary: Competitive and based on experience Keywords: collaborative, supportive leadership, dependable, inclusive, interpersonal skills, training opportunities, flexible working opportunities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a well-established international trading company based in Bangkok.
This role offers you the chance to work closely with an expatriate General Manager and lead a small, dedicated team across the full spectrum of HR operations, from recruitment through to retirement. You will play a pivotal part in shaping HR strategy, supporting business objectives, and ensuring that people solutions are aligned with organisational goals. The company is renowned for its stable business performance and global reach, providing a supportive environment where your expertise will be valued and your contributions recognised. With a focus on collaboration and professional growth, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit team and enjoys making a tangible impact on both people and business outcomes.
  • Work directly with senior management to design and implement HR strategies that support business direction and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead a small, committed HR team in delivering end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, workforce planning, recruitment, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Enjoy the benefits of working within an international organisation with global market presence, offering stability, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative environment.
What you'll do:
As Human Resources Manager, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s people strategy—working hand-in-hand with senior leaders to develop forward-thinking HR initiatives that drive business success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you guiding your team through every aspect of human resources management: from overseeing payroll accuracy to resolving complex workforce issues. You will act as a key advisor on employment law matters while championing best practices across all areas of HR. By nurturing strong relationships with colleagues in various departments, you will help create an environment where everyone feels supported and empowered. Your ability to anticipate challenges—whether related to recruitment or employee retention—will be crucial in maintaining organisational stability. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by shaping policies that benefit both individuals and the wider business.
  • Collaborate closely with the management team—including the General Manager, Finance, and Sales—to design comprehensive HR strategies that proactively address current and future business needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing guidance on labour law compliance, best practices, and effective HR solutions for any employment-related matters.
  • Lead and mentor a small HR team to ensure seamless execution of all HR operations, including accurate payroll processing and employee lifecycle management.
  • Develop and implement solutions for both immediate and long-term people challenges such as staff turnover, workforce planning, recruitment channels optimisation, and employer branding enhancement.
  • Foster open communication between departments to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee recruitment processes from job posting through onboarding to ensure the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Monitor changes in employment legislation to ensure ongoing compliance and advise management accordingly.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, teamwork, and mutual respect among all employees.
  • Identify training needs within the organisation and coordinate relevant learning opportunities to support employee growth.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement programmes aimed at enhancing morale and productivity.
What you bring:
To excel as Human Resources Manager in this international trading company, you will bring extensive experience gained from similar roles within multinational environments. Your background should reflect deep familiarity with all facets of human resources—from policy development through operational delivery—alongside fluency in English for effective cross-cultural communication. Your interpersonal strengths will enable you to build trust at every level of the organisation while your practical knowledge ensures smooth day-to-day operations. Experience in retail or trading sectors will further enhance your ability to understand unique industry challenges. Above all, your commitment to nurturing talent, supporting colleagues’ growth, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere will set you apart as an invaluable member of the leadership team.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience as an HR generalist within an international company setting is essential for this role.
  • Excellent command of English is required to communicate effectively with expatriate management and diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities is vital for success.
  • Experience working within retail or trading businesses would be highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with sensitivity towards employee needs are highly valued attributes.
What sets this company apart:
This international trading company stands out for its global market presence combined with a stable local operation in Thailand. The absence of manufacturing plants allows for streamlined processes focused on commercial excellence rather than production complexities. Team members enjoy working alongside knowledgeable professionals under supportive leadership that prioritises collaboration over hierarchy. The company’s commitment to professional development means there are ample opportunities for learning new skills or expanding existing ones through training initiatives tailored to personal growth ambitions.
