Head of IT (Thai Speaking)
This Head of IT role offers you the chance to shape and oversee all aspects of IT operations, from infrastructure and technical support to business continuity and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer and functionally to the regional Chief Technology Officer, you will play a crucial part in aligning local IT strategies with regional objectives while ensuring robust systems, seamless project delivery, and the highest standards of information security.
What you'll do:
As Head of Information Technology based in Bangkok, you will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibility for the organisation’s entire IT landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with both local executives and regional technology leaders to ensure that all IT initiatives are executed efficiently and in harmony with broader corporate objectives. You will guide your team through complex projects—ranging from system upgrades to disaster recovery exercises—while providing hands-on support for end users. Your ability to balance strategic vision with operational detail will be essential as you manage everything from policy development to vendor negotiations. By fostering a culture of compliance, security awareness, and continuous improvement within your department, you will help safeguard critical assets while enabling business growth. - Coordinate with regional teams to deploy standard infrastructure and systems in line with group policies and ensure seamless integration across locations.
- Work collaboratively on both local and cross-regional IT projects as well as recurring operational tasks to deliver consistent service quality.
- Consult with senior management to analyse organisational needs for information systems and recommend technology improvements that align with strategic goals.
- Oversee the development, implementation, installation, and operation of site-specific information systems while adhering to group norms and industry best practices.
- Provide expert support to end users regarding software selection, procurement processes, usage guidance, and maintenance of hardware assets.
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust policies for data accuracy, security measures, legal compliance, and regulatory adherence across all IT functions.
- Lead the deployment of critical IT security components such as workstation/server patches and anti-virus updates in partnership with regional security teams.
- Manage relationships with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors by negotiating contracts for services or products according to procurement guidelines.
- Supervise disaster recovery planning activities by developing, maintaining, testing plans regularly and ensuring readiness for any potential disruptions.
- Oversee network systems including servers (Windows Servers/SCCM), telephony solutions (Cisco IP Phone/Voice Logger), applications, software/hardware at both production and backup sites.

- Comprehensive understanding of computer networks, server administration (including Windows Servers/SCCM), application software management, and telecommunication systems is necessary.
- Demonstrated expertise in information security frameworks such as ISO27001:2013 along with practical experience implementing governance best practices is highly valued.
- Fluency in English and Thai (both written and spoken) is mandatory for effective communication across diverse teams.
- Exceptional negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers or vendors are important for successful procurement outcomes.
