An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Demand Planner (x1 vacancy) to join a global organisation based in Bangkok, supporting business units across the ASEAN region. What you'll do:

As a Regional Demand Planner based in Bangkok, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the monthly S&OP process across multiple ASEAN markets. Your day-to-day activities will involve close partnership with both International Marketing and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting, optimal inventory management, and successful execution of new product launches. By actively participating in key meetings and collaborating with various stakeholders, you will help shape operational objectives that align with broader business goals. Your ability to interpret market trends and contribute valuable insights will be essential in maintaining high standards of service delivery throughout the region.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for assigned business units across ASEAN countries, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Oversee inventory levels, service metrics, and forecast accuracy performance across ASEAN markets, providing clear representation of divisional performance drivers in global forums.
  • Partner with International Marketing to review regional forecasts, consolidate country-level new product launch demand forecasts, assess quarterly commitment variations, and support needs assessment for future launches.
  • Contribute to launch strategy and execution by safeguarding operational objectives for high-performance product launches and supporting product rationalisation initiatives.
  • Develop strategies for scarce inventory allocation and communicate effectively regarding back orders or limited stock situations to ensure transparency with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain on product phase-in/phase-out processes, challenge global product allocation decisions when necessary, and provide timely updates on back order availability.
  • Actively participate in S&OP meetings by presenting international demand forecasts and contributing insights to drive informed decision-making across the business unit.
  • Support the execution of product rationalisation strategies by working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions during product lifecycle changes.
  • Monitor market trends and provide input into strategic planning discussions to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness within the region.

What you bring:

To excel as a Regional Demand Planner, you will bring substantial experience from either the healthcare or FMCG sectors where you have honed your expertise in demand planning. Your background should include significant involvement with commercial teams as well as hands-on participation in S&OP processes at a regional scale. Fluency in English is important given the need to report into a manager while also engaging with international colleagues. Your interpersonal strengths will allow you to build dependable relationships across marketing, supply chain, and commercial functions—ensuring everyone works together towards common goals. In addition to your technical proficiency in managing inventory levels and supporting new product launches, your analytical approach will help you interpret market data effectively. Clear communication skills are essential as you present insights during meetings; meanwhile your collaborative nature ensures that you thrive within diverse teams dedicated to delivering outstanding results.

  • At least five years of experience in demand planning within the healthcare or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries is required to ensure familiarity with complex supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated exposure to or interaction with commercial teams is essential for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary as you will be reporting into a manager and engaging with international colleagues regularly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed to foster cooperative relationships across marketing, supply chain, and commercial functions within diverse cultural settings.
  • A proven track record of managing inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and supporting new product launches is highly desirable.
  • Experience participating in or leading S&OP processes at a regional level will enable you to hit the ground running in this role.
