What you'll do:
As the Sourcing Manager for Pet Food, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's product offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to source vendors and factories for pet food products while ensuring cost-effective procurement. You will work closely with internal teams to meet production demands, adhere to stringent quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your ability to build strong relationships with suppliers will be crucial in ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of orders. Additionally, you will collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all sourced ingredients meet the highest standards.
- Understand customer needs and ensure that sourced products align with final pet food product requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/factories for pet food products
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of orders
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers
- Collaborate with quality assurance and R&D teams to ensure sourced ingredients meet quality standards
- Monitor supplier compliance with food safety standards and ethical sourcing practices
- Work with vendors/factories to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials
- Monitor market trends and analyze price fluctuations in pet food raw materials
- Develop strategies for cost optimization without compromising product quality or supply chain integrity

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- At least 2 years of experience in the pet food or related food industry
- In-depth knowledge of the pet food industry including regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Proven track record in supplier negotiations and contract management
- Strong analytical skills and experience with cost control and budget management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
