An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Vice President of Corporate Affairs. This role is pivotal in supporting business objectives through proactive advocacy, strategic planning, and effective communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, developing government affairs strategies, overseeing communications and branding programs, and leading crisis response efforts. What you'll do:

As the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, your role will be multifaceted and integral to the success of the organisation. You will manage a dedicated team, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to advocate for our interests. Your strategic planning skills will be crucial in navigating government affairs, while your keen eye will monitor policies, regulations, and emerging trends. Your expertise in communications will guide our internal and external messaging, branding programs, and public relations activities. In times of crisis, your leadership will steer response plans and you will act as the company spokesperson. Furthermore, you will champion our corporate social responsibility strategies, executing initiatives that advance community interests.

  • Manage the Corporate Affairs team to support business objectives.
  • Lead stakeholder and issue management plans with proactive advocacy.
  • Develop and lead government affairs strategic planning with government agencies.
  • Monitor policy, regulations and emerging trends across industry and business interests.
  • Manage the company’s communications strategy (internal & external), branding programs and public relations activities.
  • Develop and lead crisis response plans as well as team implementation.
  • Act as company spokesperson during crisis events.
  • Responsible for corporate social responsibility strategies and execution of activities.

What you bring:

As our ideal candidate for the Vice President of Corporate Affairs role, you bring a wealth of experience in corporate affairs or related functions. Your educational background in business administration or similar fields complements your professional experience. You have demonstrated your ability to manage teams effectively, mentor employees, and lead during crisis situations. Your strategic thinking allows you to develop plans and implement policies that navigate complex business environments. Your strong English communication skills enable you to convey complex ideas clearly and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields such as business administration or public policy.
  • Over 15 years of professional experience in corporate affairs or related functions.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing teams, mentoring and developing employees.
  • Experience leading crisis response efforts.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, implement operational policies and strategies.
  • Strong proficiency in English communication.
  • Capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and engaging with diverse stakeholders effectively.
