This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal support across various business units, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing corporate governance. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager – Legal & Corporate Affairs, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's legal framework. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Manager in executing key legal projects, developing an efficient IT system for managing legal queries, providing comprehensive advice on various legal matters affecting the company, conducting regular contract reviews to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating contracts to protect the company's interests. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also ensure timely compliance with regulatory filing deadlines, organise board meetings while ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

  • Assist the Senior Manager in executing legal projects
  • Develop and implement an IT system for legal query submissions, workflow tracking, queuing, and closing
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on various legal matters affecting the company
  • Conduct day-to-day contract reviews and monitor legal obligations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory filing deadlines, including SEC and other statutory requirements
  • Organize and coordinate Board of Directors (BOD) and Sub-Committee meetings
  • Plan and execute the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shareholders in compliance with applicable laws and corporate policies

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate legal affairs, contract management or corporate governance
  • Strong knowledge of corporate laws, regulatory compliance and company secretarial duties for a listed company
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal contracts and agreements
  • Familiarity with SEC, SET regulations and other regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical abilities with a proactive approach to legal risk management
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external teams
