Fund Operations Manager

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Fund Operations Manager to join a leading investment firm based in Bangkok. This pivotal role offers you the chance to take ownership of all aspects of fund and company finance operations, working at the heart of a collaborative and knowledgeable team. You will play a key part in shaping the financial processes that underpin the organisation’s success, ensuring robust compliance with regulatory standards while supporting innovative investment strategies. The position is hands-on and varied, offering exposure to both established and emerging fund structures, and provides an excellent platform for professional growth within a supportive environment. If you are looking for a role where your expertise in fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational leadership will be valued and developed, this is the perfect next step in your career.

* Take on a central role managing end-to-end fund finance operations, including oversight of cash movements, fund accounting, and financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
* Work closely with experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, gaining exposure to complex deal structuring, investor relations, and cross-border transactions within alternative asset management.
* Enjoy flexible working opportunities and the chance to contribute to a growing business where your input will directly influence operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

What you'll do:

As Fund Operations Manager, you will immerse yourself in every facet of the company’s finance operations—overseeing everything from daily cash management to high-level financial reporting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with internal teams as well as external partners like auditors and legal counsel. You’ll be instrumental in developing robust processes that ensure compliance with evolving regulations while also supporting new investment initiatives. By providing transactional support for acquisitions—including entity set-up based on tax advice—you’ll help facilitate smooth deal execution. Your ability to prepare detailed financial statements and investor reports will be crucial in keeping stakeholders informed. Additionally, you’ll play a vital role in mentoring junior colleagues while driving continuous process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness throughout the organisation.

* Oversee and manage all aspects of fund finance operations, ensuring efficient processes and effective controls are in place across multiple funds.
* Track all cash movements meticulously to maintain accurate records and support timely capital calls and distributions.
* Collaborate closely with fund administrators to guarantee precise and prompt fund accounting as well as comprehensive financial reporting.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve fund finance processes and internal controls to optimise operational efficiency.
* Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards across various jurisdictions.
* Lead the preparation of detailed financial statements, investor reports, and other essential fund-related documentation for stakeholders.
* Provide transactional support for acquisitions by assisting with structuring advice, setting up investment entities in line with tax guidance, and coordinating with investment teams to ensure seamless transaction closings.
* Take responsibility for fund and deal structuring activities—including valuation tasks—and offer operational support during fundraising efforts involving vehicles such as SPCs, SPVs, SPs, or VCCs.
* Support the Investment team by delivering insightful financial analysis and operational expertise that inform investment decisions and overall fund strategy.
* Manage audit coordination and tax reporting processes for funds while maintaining strong relationships with external service providers such as auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
* Prepare and present clear financial reports to senior management and investors, providing valuable insights into fund performance.
* Lead junior team members by offering supervision, mentorship, and guidance on day-to-day tasks as well as ad-hoc projects.

What you bring:

To excel as Fund Operations Manager, your background should include significant experience within fund finance or accounting roles—preferably gained in private equity or alternative asset management settings. Your academic credentials will underpin your technical proficiency while your practical experience equips you to handle both routine operations and complex transactions. You bring not only deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks but also an ability to build strong working relationships across teams. Your interpersonal skills foster collaboration while your analytical mindset supports data-driven decision making. Adaptability is essential; you are comfortable navigating change within fast-evolving environments. Above all else, your commitment to accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement sets you apart as someone who can be depended upon to deliver results that benefit both colleagues and clients.

* A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required; an advanced degree such as an MBA or CPA (or equivalent) is preferred for deeper technical expertise.
* At least five years’ experience in fund finance or accounting—ideally gained within private equity or alternative asset management environments—will enable you to hit the ground running.
* Demonstrated knowledge of fund accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements ensures you can navigate complex compliance landscapes confidently.
* Experience working with both large-scale funds and smaller start-up funds is highly desirable for versatility across different operational models.
* Proven track record of collaborating effectively with fund administrators as well as managing relationships with external service providers such as auditors or tax advisors.
* Exceptional organisational skills allow you to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
* Excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal—enable you to present complex financial information clearly to senior management or investors alike.
* Strong analytical skills paired with a keen eye for detail empower you to provide meaningful insights that drive sound investment decisions.
* Fluency in Thai and English is highly desirable for effective communication within local markets as well as international stakeholders.
* A hands-on approach combined with a proactive attitude ensures you thrive in dynamic start-up environments where adaptability is key.
