What you'll do:

As Venture Director based in Bangkok, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of a prominent venture capital platform dedicated to transformative technologies. Your day-to-day activities will involve sourcing high-potential startups globally—particularly those innovating in AI/ML, deep tech, blockchain, or web3.0—and guiding them through rigorous evaluation processes. • Develop and implement forward-thinking investment strategies that align with organisational objectives and broader group goals within the venture capital sector.
• Identify and rigorously evaluate potential investment opportunities in start-ups worldwide, with particular emphasis on those demonstrating strong growth potential in AI/ML, deep tech, blockchain, and web3.0.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments including market analysis, financial modelling, and business plan assessment to ensure robust decision-making.
• Negotiate and structure investment deals that secure favourable terms for all stakeholders while maximising value creation.
• Monitor portfolio company performance closely; provide ongoing guidance to help them achieve sustainable growth and realise their full potential.
• Foster synergies between technology start ups and internal or external partners including future limited partners (LPs), corporates, organisations, and key stakeholders to unlock new avenues for collaboration.
• Actively contribute ideas for scaling portfolio companies by sharing insights drawn from market trends and hands-on experience.
• Build enduring relationships with start-ups, investors, and ecosystem players; facilitate collaborations that leverage collective strengths for mutual benefit.
• Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences to enhance its brand presence while staying abreast of emerging technologies in finance and related fields.

• Demonstrated technical expertise in investment processes as well as deep familiarity with AI/ML technologies, blockchain solutions, web3.0 innovations or other advanced digital domains is highly valued.
