Plant Finance Controller

A leading international manufacturing organisation is seeking a Plant Finance Controller to join their team in Samut Prakan. You will become a key member of the plant leadership group, where your expertise in cost accounting and financial oversight. You will be empowered to drive cost optimisation initiatives, provide insightful financial analysis, and ensure robust compliance with both local and international standards.

What you'll do:

As Plant Finance Controller, you will play a central role in shaping the financial health of the manufacturing site. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with various departments—ranging from production to HR—to ensure that all cost accounting processes are robustly managed. Your ability to communicate complex financial information in an accessible way will enable operational teams to understand the implications of their actions on overall profitability.

  • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to guide operational teams on areas of concern and recommend actions for improved outcomes.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives across the organisation by identifying efficiencies without compromising on quality or compliance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to relevant accounting standards including Thai GAAP and IFRS as well as internal control procedures.
  • Prepare periodic forecasts of production costs, conduct variance analysis against budgets, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for manufacturing and related operational areas, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Monitor actual spending versus budgeted figures, proactively alerting management to discrepancies and recommending corrective measures.
  • Maintain effective relationships with banks, tax authorities, external auditors, insurance providers, and other key external partners.
  • Support both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing clear explanations regarding cost-related matters.
  • Oversee SAP Master Data maintenance related to the FICO module while ensuring data integrity for accurate reporting.

What you bring:

As Plant Finance Controller, you will bring not only technical expertise but also interpersonal strengths that foster collaboration across diverse teams.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Accounting or Finance.
  • Demonstrate at least five years experience in financial analysis or cost control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess deep knowledge of financial systems processes including regulation auditing and compliance with both domestic and international standards.
  • Show proficiency in using SAP as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook for daily operations.
  • Display proven ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Have experience supporting internal/external audits by preparing documentation and offering clear explanations regarding cost structures or variances.
  • Show language proficiency in Thai along with conversational or professional-level English skills.
