Web Optimization Engineer

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Web Optimisation Engineer to join a global consultancy in Bangkok, where your expertise will directly shape the digital journey. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, user experience, and growth, offering you the chance to own and scale conversion optimisation across multiple digital platforms.

What you'll do:

As a Web Optimisation Engineer based in Bangkok, you will play an instrumental role in shaping how prospective students interact with digital platforms throughout their application journey. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing robust experiments aimed at increasing conversion rates by reducing friction within user journeys. You will collaborate extensively with colleagues from marketing, design, content creation, and technology departments to ensure that every aspect of the digital experience is optimised for engagement and effectiveness. By analysing data from various sources—including analytics dashboards, heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys—you will develop actionable hypotheses that inform your testing strategies. Your ability to communicate findings clearly will help foster a culture of learning within the team while driving meaningful improvements in lead generation processes. Success in this role means not only delivering measurable increases in conversions but also establishing best practices that can be scaled across the organisation’s global network.

  • Own the roadmap for conversion rate optimisation across landing pages, lead forms, calls-to-action, and multi-step funnels to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Design and execute A/B and multivariate experiments with well-defined hypotheses, success metrics, and actionable learnings that drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify drop-offs, friction points, and leaks within key user journeys using both quantitative data and qualitative insights to prioritise areas for enhancement.
  • Continuously refine lead capture processes, registration flows, and enquiry mechanisms to maximise conversion rates while maintaining high lead quality.
  • Translate experimental outcomes into scalable best practices that can be adopted across various digital touchpoints within the organisation.
  • Deliver regular performance reports that highlight key insights, business impact, and recommended next steps for ongoing optimisation efforts.
  • Analyse funnel performance utilising tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Hotjar, and other experimentation platforms to uncover user intent and behavioural patterns.
  • Leverage heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and form analytics to gain a comprehensive understanding of user interactions and pain points.
  • Monitor compliance with consent regulations such as GDPR to ensure tracking accuracy and experiment validity throughout all optimisation activities.
  • Partner closely with design and development teams to efficiently implement experiments while ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with broader marketing objectives.

What you bring:

To excel as a Web Optimisation Engineer in this forward-thinking organisation, you will bring a blend of technical proficiency, analytical acumen, and collaborative spirit. Your background should include hands-on experience running structured experiments designed to improve conversion rates within digital ecosystems. Familiarity with industry-standard analytics tools is essential for extracting actionable insights from both quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback. In addition to technical skills such as basic HTML/CSS knowledge—which supports rapid prototyping—you should possess a deep understanding of UX/UI concepts that underpin effective web design. Your ability to manage competing priorities without sacrificing attention to detail will be crucial as you juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Communication is key: you must be comfortable presenting findings in both English and Thai while working closely with diverse teams across marketing, design, content creation, and technology functions. Above all else, your commitment to evidence-based decision making ensures that every initiative you undertake delivers measurable value for users as well as the business.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification demonstrating strong analytical foundations relevant to web optimisation roles.
  • At least three years’ proven experience in conversion rate optimisation (CRO), growth marketing or performance marketing environments where experimentation is central.
  • Demonstrated track record of running structured tests—such as A/B or multivariate experiments—and scaling successful initiatives across digital channels.
  • Hands-on familiarity with analytics tools including Google Analytics (GA4), Hotjar (for heatmaps and session recordings), A/B testing platforms like Zoho PageSense or Optimizely, Google Tag Manager, CMS platforms such as WordPress (working knowledge), as well as CRM systems like HubSpot or Zoho.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS enabling faster experimentation cycles and effective quality assurance during implementation phases.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles combined with an appreciation for user psychology when designing optimised digital experiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills allowing you to turn complex data sets into clear narratives that inform decision-making processes at every stage of the funnel.
  • Strong organisational abilities demonstrated by managing multiple updates simultaneously while meeting deadlines effectively within fast-moving environments.
  • Outstanding communication skills—both written and spoken—in English and Thai; able to collaborate seamlessly across functions while articulating test results clearly to stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail paired with a data-driven approach ensures every recommendation is grounded in evidence rather than assumption.
