Our client is seeking a dedicated Data Governance & Management Specialist to pioneer the establishment of their data governance framework. What you'll do:

As a Data Governance & Management Specialist, you will be at the forefront of shaping our client's approach to data management. Your role will involve developing a comprehensive strategy for data governance, collaborating with key stakeholders, defining master data management architecture, and coordinating with various teams for master data maintenance. You will also provide valuable input on data architecture design, identify suitable data governance solutions, ensure compliance with legal regulations, promote adoption of best practices among stakeholders, and track key performance indicators. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's approach to data.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry regulations
• Define master data management architecture for critical data domains
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to oversee master data maintenance
• Provide high-level input on data architecture design
• Identify and recommend data governance solutions that align with organisational needs
• Collaborate closely with the Legal/Compliance Team to ensure all governance initiatives adhere to data privacy regulations
• Work closely with Data Stewards, Data Owners, and business stakeholders to drive adoption of data governance best practices
• Define and track key metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Data Governance & Management Specialist role brings a wealth of experience in the field. With a minimum of 8 years in roles related to data governance or management, you have demonstrated success in developing and implementing robust frameworks. Your knowledge extends to SAP master data and broader MDM processes. You are familiar with GDPR and PDPA regulations and have ensured compliance within an organisation before. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field further strengthens your profile.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years in data governance, data management, or related roles
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing data governance frameworks or MDM programs
• Knowledge of SAP master data, SAP MDG, and broader MDM processes
• Familiarity with GDPR, PDPA regulations and experience ensuring compliance within an organization
