Head of IT Security

An exciting role of Head of IT Security (x1 vacancy) has just become available at one of an international bank in Thailand. This role report directly to COO and dotted line to regional team.

About Head Of IT Security

This role responsible to perform IT security officer role by understanding APAC IT security policy, cybersecurity law and regulations including cybersecurity technical topics in order to both consult and implement cybersecurity program in Thailand. Coordinating between APAC and local stakeholders. Work on ISO27001 process for yearly continuous improvement. The job involves mostly in security process, policy in order to drive implementation. The salary range for this role is THB140k - 180k per month + Bonus + Provident Fund + Insurance

Key Responsibilities

• To understand APAC IT security policy, cybersecurity law and regulations including cybersecurity technical topics in order to both consult and implement cybersecurity programs in Thailand
• To coordinate with APAC and promote IT security culture to users as well as local IT team
• To work on ISO27001 framework for yearly implementation and continuous improvement. He/she will coordinate with stakeholders including auditor and tracking progress
• To perform regular security and technology risk assessment for all local assets and ensure compliance as per Security and Technology Risk Management Policies, local Law and Regulatory guidelines.
• Review the security and technology risk assessment performed by internal and external service providers for each service under their responsibility before any new service activation or implementation of a material change for existing services
• To set up Thailand Technology Risk Management Steering Committee meeting twice a year
• To closely monitor Thailand security KPI such as vulnerabilities, patch, etc. and Security exceptions expiry
• To monitor, consult and follow up remediation actions from IT security portal, IT country control, Security exceptions, etc.
• To perform operation permanent control and self-assessment that related to IT/Cybersecurity
• To follow up on vendor actions related to IT security
• To coordinate on IT security training and awareness program. Provide training if necessary
• Work on any assignment given by Territory COO

To succeed in this role, you must have good command of English.

Key Requirements

• Obtain a degree in Computer science, Computer engineering or related program
• At least five years of experience
• Experience in IT Security, Compliance, and risk management is preferred
• Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)
• Knowledge in IT Infrastructure, application or related field
• Knowledge in IT security & IT Risk and Control implementation
• Awareness in IT related security topic such as Cybersecurity Law, PDPA, etc.
• Awareness of ISO27001: 2013 information security: An Information Security Management System (ISMS) is an International Standard that specified the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving this ISMS. It is the responsibility of all the staff of Bangkok Branch to contribute to this common objective
• Ensure compliance with bank’s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, in particular with regard to the KYC/AML/FS responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures
• Willing to learn with ‘can do’ attitude
• Good teamwork and communication
• Good command both in Thai and English (both written and spoken)
