Save job

This role is ensuring the ERP ecosystem operates in full alignment with its strategic direction. The successful candidate will drive efficiency gains across business units, help reduce operational costs, and support better-informed decision-making through reliable system performance. Ownership spans the entire ERP journey from initial scoping and rollout through to ongoing optimisation with a focus on building a resilient, future-ready infrastructure that grows alongside the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take ownership of daily ERP operations across core modules (Finance, Materials Management, and HR), ensuring all departments are adequately supported and that any system disruptions are addressed swiftly
  • Act as the integration bridge between the ERP platform and other clinical and operational systems within the hospital environment, including patient information, imaging, and laboratory platforms
  • Continuously assess system health and performance, putting measures in place to safeguard uptime and long-term reliability
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their evolving needs and translate these into meaningful ERP enhancements that reflect real business workflows
  • Drive ERP development roadmaps that anticipate change and position the system to meet future demands
  • Maintain oversight of all ERP-related technology assets, ensuring hardware, software, and data infrastructure are well-managed and fit for purpose
  • Bring together diverse groups — from developers and business users to external suppliers to align on project scope, deliverables, and timelines, while keeping progress on track
  • Lead complex, multi-phase ERP projects from inception through to successful delivery, with rigorous control over cost and schedule, and a sharp eye on vendor accountability

Key Requirements

Education

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA or a technology-focused Master's) would strengthen a candidate's application
  • Professional ERP certifications — particularly in SAP or Oracle — would be viewed favourably

Experience

  • A minimum of 7–10 years working closely with ERP systems in a substantive capacity
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role with direct accountability for ERP or related technology projects
  • A background in large-scale organisations, healthcare settings, or industries that have undergone significant technology-led transformation would be a distinct advantage

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep familiarity with enterprise ERP platforms, particularly SAP (across FI, MM, and HR modules) or Oracle equivalents
  • A solid grasp of how ERP systems connect and exchange data with other platforms in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated capability in steering ERP projects from end to end, with strong command of budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and quantify the return on ERP investments
  • Practical experience navigating system-related risks and guiding teams through periods of technological change
  • A collaborative problem-solver who can mediate between departments and user groups when challenges arise
  • Skilled negotiator with experience holding vendors accountable to agreed service levels
  • A commitment to ongoing improvement, using performance data to continuously refine how the ERP system serves the organisation
