What you'll do:

Your day-to-day activities will centre around coordinating key events such as sprint planning sessions, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives. You will guide your colleagues through the selection of stories for each sprint by leveraging your understanding of velocity and scope. By tracking essential metrics and managing documentation like burndown charts, you will help maintain transparency across all stages of development. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in helping team members overcome obstacles collaboratively while ensuring priorities remain aligned with business objectives. • Track key metrics including inputs, outputs, and outcomes for the team, monitoring these consistently to ensure progress aligns with project goals.
• Facilitate the decision-making process regarding which stories are included in each sprint by understanding the team's velocity as well as story scope and size.
• Support team members in selecting stories they will work on during each sprint, encouraging open communication and shared responsibility.
• Coordinate agile events such as sprint planning sessions, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives to maintain momentum and address challenges promptly.
• Help team members overcome roadblocks by providing guidance, emotional support, and practical solutions that enable them to succeed together.
• Work closely with Feature Owners and the team to re-balance and re-prioritise tasks within sprints when necessary, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to change.
• Manage burndown charts and other documentation to oversee progress throughout each sprint cycle, keeping all stakeholders informed.
• Promote an inclusive atmosphere where every voice is heard during meetings and retrospectives, fostering trust among team members.
• Encourage knowledge sharing within the group so everyone benefits from collective experience and expertise.
• Champion best practices in agile methodology while remaining sensitive to individual needs within the team.

• Proven experience leading teams of five or more members with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a business-related field reflecting commitment to learning.

• Recommended minimum two years’ experience as a Scrum Master with relevant certification showing dedication to professional standards.
