CTO / CIO

A world-leading insurance firm is recruiting a CTO / CIO (x1 vacancy) in Bangkok to lead their technology teams. In this technology leadership role, you will be responsible for leading the business in its next phase of growth.

About the CTO / CIO Role:

This is a great opportunity for an technology leader to redevelop group systems and processes. Your main responsibility is to develop the company's strategy in using technology and align with global policy and processes. Implementation of new technology, systems and infrastructure are expected to drive the business forward. You will enjoy bonus, provident fund and insurance for this role. • Supervise the teams of infrastructure and solution delivery, which are being managed on day-to-day by Senior Managers
• Develop the company’s strategy for using technology solutions touching all parts of the business
• Ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
• Initiate projects, evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure
• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies for competitive advantage
• Monitor team performance and IT budgets to assess technological performance
• Establish software development process and set objectives for process
• Ensure company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
• Able to perform risk management, e.g. disaster recovery, back up procedures, security control to ensure strong IT platform and avoid discrepancies
• Interact with user departments closely to recommend IT solutions that can evaluate existing business workflow and identify problems to maintain smooth operation of all corporate electronic systems
• Lead security areas which is a key aspect of organisation

What you bring:

To succeed in this CIO/CTO role, you must possess excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Thai nationality
• Experienced in international company with proven record, preferable insurance or financial sector
• Excellent leadership, team building, management skills and organisational abilities
• Strong interpersonal relationships with peers, leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
• Driving for result with can – do attitude
• Having the project management base knowledge
• Knowledge of technical trends to build strategy
