An exciting opportunity of IT Director Infrastructure - Cloud Technology (x1 position) has just open at one of the most respected group company base in Bangkok. This role will report directly to Group IT Director – Cloud Technologies. The salary range for this role is 180K - 250K + bonus + provident fund + insurance.
About IT Director Infrastructure – Cloud Technologies Role:
IT Director Infrastructure - Cloud Technology responsible for manage the IT teams that operate and support network, firewall, cloud server infrastructures, endpoint management software related, account management and controls, and database administration, ensuring that they are aligned to support business objectives.
This individual’s principal goals are to develop solutions and methodologies that allow for the effective and smooth management of an infrastructure that supports Business Units, Corporate Service departments and project offices and to attain service level agreements for users across the organisation. The salary offered is competitive with bonus and provident fund.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other IT Director to formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies
- Manage IT Infrastructure department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organising and negotiating the allocation of resources
- Guide business and IT leaders in making investment decisions that balance and prioritise current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organisation
- Provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices
- Re-engineer infrastructure support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users
- Develop and review budgets for and from IT department divisions and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives
- Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
- Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
- Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and makes the appropriate award.
- Authorise and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts
- Support help desk and technical services to provision of the end-user services
- Participate and implement in all IT policies and procedures development/improvement, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Participate in negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organisation's senior leaders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Five years of experience working directly within engineering teams
- Three years of people management experience, managing engineers
- Three years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Five years' experience in enterprise technology stack such as Oracle, Microsoft
- Experience managing, motivating and retaining high-performance engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience with design and architecture
- ITIL certification is a big advantage
- Experience with large scale, consumer facing, enterprise level applications
- Ability to affect positive change, empower people, cultivate product technology visions and innovative solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information and negotiate trade-offs with a variety of audiences
- Experienced with building and architecting on Azure, AWS and GCP
- Experienced with IPBPX is a plus
