Technical Software Lead (AI Enabled Manufacturing)

Our client is now looking for an engineering leader accountable for the delivery and modernization of core production platforms supporting 24x7 operations. The role owns the transition of legacy manufacturing systems to scalable, service-oriented architectures, with responsibility for availability, performance, and secure integration across MES, shop-floor systems, industrial data platforms, and SAP.

The position leads end-to-end execution from architecture and delivery through production support, establishes Agile and DevOps operating discipline, and applies automation and AI-enabled analytics to improve system reliability, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and people leadership for a high-performing engineering organization supporting business-critical production platforms.
• Own delivery accountability for large-scale, mission-critical systems across the full lifecycle, from design through production operations.
• Drive enterprise modernization initiatives, transforming legacy platforms into scalable, service-oriented, and future-ready architectures.
• Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to align priorities, manage execution, and deliver strategic outcomes.
• Establish governance and best practices across Agile delivery and release management.
• Lead adoption of advanced automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Oversee complex integrations across operational platforms, data environments, and enterprise applications.
• Ensure platforms meet enterprise standards for resilience, security, compliance, and IP protection.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record leading large-scale platform modernization initiatives within SAP-integrated production environments.
• Strong background in manufacturing systems such as MES, shop-floor automation, and industrial data flows.
• Hands-on experience with modern delivery practices including Agile, AI and automation.
• Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, or data-driven transformation initiatives.
• Experience operating within large, complex, or regulated production environments.
