Solution Architect (Software)

This role bridges local business requirements and global technical delivery, leading end-to-end solution architecture design for banking platforms. The ideal candidate has strong banking domain knowledge, experience with microservices architecture, and excellent English communication skills.

This role acts as the strategic bridge between local business requirements and global technical delivery, leading end-to-end architecture design for large-scale banking transformation programs.

The ideal candidate brings strong banking domain expertise, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in modern application architectures. Core banking experience is an advantage but not mandatory, as structured training and architectural enablement will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures for banking and financial services transformation initiatives.

• Lead solution discovery, requirement clarification, and architecture workshops in English and/or Vietnamese.

• Assess existing banking systems and infrastructure, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Propose scalable, secure solutions aligned with global architecture standards and local regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to define solution blueprints.

• Act as the technical lead for requirements gathered in the local language and translate them into English technical documentation for global delivery teams.

• Coordinate and align technical delivery across local and offshore engineering teams.

• Ensure architectural consistency, reusability, and long-term sustainability across platforms.

• Identify, manage, and mitigate RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) throughout the project lifecycle.

• Define and promote best practices, frameworks, and standards for digital banking transformation.

• Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executives, to align technical solutions with business strategy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, or 5+ years in banking technology, platform engineering, or system implementation.

Banking & Domain Knowledge

• Strong banking domain expertise, particularly in Lending and Deposit products (loan lifecycle, credit processing, CASA, term deposits).

• Solid understanding of banking transactions, payments, and regulatory environments.

• Core banking experience is a nice-to-have, not mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Strong backend engineering background with microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Primary language: Java (OOP, Spring Boot, Kafka, etc.).

• Secondary languages (advantage): Python, Go.

• Expertise in enterprise architecture, software design patterns, and API-driven architectures.

• Hands-on experience with system integration and legacy modernization in banking environments.

Language & Communication

• Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory for global collaboration and technical documentation.

• Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt local business knowledge to global architectural frameworks.

• Proven capability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders and executives.
