Head of Software Developement

About the Head of Software Development Role:

Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Head of Software Development will play a key role in the digital transformation/technology team working as a leader of software development team leading 50 engineers. Also working closely with Design and Architecture team, Product team, Security team to meet business requirement. They are continued growth and success in its Thailand office developing innovative solution to drive the business further to the future. Key Responsibilities:

• Be part of the technology management team to develop various applications (E.g. E-Commerce, Omni-channel, CRM, Royalty Platform, Supporting Platform for each department, etc.)
• Be a key person to lead software engineer team’s culture
• Lead agile software development process
• Lead the deployment and maintenance of the services
• Lead and coach engineer team of 40 – 50 people
• Lead product’s direction, roadmap and journey
• Lead SDLC and innovation strategy
• Together with senior management team to deliver quality and secure products to maximise customer’s journey. (together with Product, Design and Architecture, Data, Security team)

To succeed in this role, you must have 15 years full-time work experience or equivalent.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Strong in CI/CD process, software development life cycle, source code management and application monitoring
• Experienced in software product strategy role or head of engineering position
• Experienced in leading software engineer team at least 30 people to 60 people
• Experienced in back-end and database technology like PHP, Python, Node.js, Java, Apache, SQL.
• Experienced in deploying web application service
• Experienced with public cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Knowledge of Docker container
• Good understanding of REST and JSON
• MEAN and LAMP mean more than just “average” and “lighting equipment” to you
• Experienced in agile software development process
• Knowledge of cyber security and data best practice is a plus
• Some technical team lead/management experience
• Self-starter. Can work with minimal amount of supervision
• Sharp character
• Prefer Thai nationality due to nature of the business
