Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Data Engineer to join their team in Bangkok. In this role, you will connect and model distributed data sets to build repositories such as data warehouses and data lakes using appropriate technologies. You will manage data-related contexts across medium to large-sized data sets, structured/unstructured or streaming data, extraction, transformation, curation, modelling and building.
What you'll do:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in connecting and modelling distributed data sets. Your work will involve managing various data-related contexts across medium to large-sized datasets. You'll be working with both structured and unstructured or streaming data, performing tasks such as extraction, transformation, curation, modelling and building. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the development of analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline for providing actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency among other key business performance metrics.
- Connect and model distributed data sets to build repositories such as data warehouses and data lakes.
- Manage data-related contexts across medium to large-sized data sets.
- Work with structured/unstructured or streaming data, extraction, transformation, curation, modelling and building.
- Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights.
- Work on customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Use your programming skills in Java, Python and SQL.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer position brings solid programming skills in Java, Python and SQL. You have clear hands-on experience with various database systems including the Hadoop ecosystem, Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Google, in-memory database systems like HANA and Hazel cast. Your experience extends to other database systems including traditional RDBMS like Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB. Practical knowledge across data extraction and transformation tools - traditional ETL tools is also a part of your skill set.
- Must be able to communicate in Thai and English
- Solid programming skills in Java, Python and SQL are essential.
- Clear hands-on experience with database systems - Hadoop ecosystem, Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google), in-memory database systems is required.
- Experience with other database systems - traditional RDBMS (e.g. Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle), and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) is beneficial.
- Practical knowledge across data extraction and transformation tools - traditional ETL tools is necessary.
