Our client is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Lead for the South East Asia (SEA) region. This role is pivotal in guiding business decisions based on scientific and regulatory insight, providing an appropriate governance structure, and leading a team of Regulatory Affairs Managers across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the regulatory affairs strategy, promoting best practice sharing, establishing and auditing standards, deploying global processes & systems, and ensuring regulatory risks are mitigated. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Regional and Global Teams to unlock innovation pipeline and secure product deployment in each country.

What you'll do:

As a Regulatory Affairs Lead SEA, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's operations in the South East Asia region. Your primary responsibility will be to drive engagement and lead a team of Regulatory Affairs Managers across multiple countries. You will be tasked with building a high-performance collaboration environment within your team while ensuring that all actions align with the overall vision and strategy of Regulatory Affairs. Compliance is key in this role; you will ensure adherence to product-related regulations across all markets within your purview. Additionally, you will manage horizon scanning activities across all markets in your cluster, identifying risks and opportunities that can inform business stakeholders and influence regulators. A significant part of your role will involve developing stakeholder mapping and engagement plans to foster long-term relationships and expand our influence within trade associations and regulators.

  • Drive engagement and lead the Regulatory Affairs Managers in their duties
  • Build a high-performance collaboration environment & engagement in the cluster RA team
  • Ensure Functional Action Blueprint for the cluster markets aligns with RA functional vision & strategy
  • Ensure compliance in the cluster markets for product-related regulation
  • Manage horizon scan for all markets in the cluster, capturing risk & opportunity to inform business stakeholders and influence regulators
  • Develop stakeholder mapping and engagement plan to build long-term relationships & develop network & influence within trade associations and regulators for each cluster market

What you bring:

As a Regulatory Affairs Lead SEA, you bring a wealth of experience from your previous roles in Regulatory Affairs, public policy or related fields. Your solid knowledge of the small animal health industry coupled with your understanding of nutrition science gives you an edge in this role. You have a deep understanding of nutrition and pet food law, as well as regulatory frameworks, which will be crucial in ensuring compliance across all markets. Your experience in communicating with and influencing trade and professional organizations will be invaluable in developing stakeholder mapping and engagement plans. Your strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to effectively lead your team and liaise with stakeholders. Lastly, your ability to connect with diverse cultures and adapt to changes will be key in managing a team across different countries.

  • Proven experience in Regulatory Affairs, public policy, or Trade Association related field
  • Solid knowledge of small animal health industry &/ nutrition and science
  • Excellent understanding of nutrition and pet food law and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience communicating with, influencing trade and professional organizations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to connect with diverse cultures and adapt to changes
