What you'll do:

As a Culinary Development Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the restaurant’s culinary direction through thoughtful menu creation and rigorous operational oversight. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with kitchen staff to bring innovative dishes from concept to plate, ensuring every item meets both customer expectations and profitability goals. You will be responsible for developing standardised procedures that guarantee consistency across all outlets while staying attuned to market trends so that the restaurant remains relevant and competitive. By leading training sessions, monitoring feedback, and supporting marketing efforts, you will help foster a culture of excellence where every team member feels empowered to contribute their best work.

  • Design and develop new menu sets as well as special seasonal menus that reflect current market trends and customer preferences, ensuring each dish is both appealing and profitable.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing food costs and operational expenses by implementing effective cost control measures without compromising on quality or taste.
  • Create, document, and implement standardised food preparation procedures that align with operational standards, guaranteeing consistency across all restaurant outlets.
  • Stay updated on emerging food trends by conducting regular market research and using insights to design dishes that resonate with the target audience.
  • Collaborate closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth execution of new menu items and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Lead training sessions for kitchen teams on new recipes, techniques, and procedures to foster knowledge sharing and skill development within the group.
  • Monitor customer feedback on new menu items, using insights to refine recipes and enhance overall dining experiences.

What you bring:
