What you'll do:
As Vice President of Sales, you will be entrusted with steering the entire sales operation for Thailand and neighbouring territories. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior leaders to craft visionary strategies that propel business growth across diverse sectors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive three-to-five-year strategic sales plans in partnership with the Managing Director, senior management team, and Regional Sales Director Asia-Pacific.
- Design and oversee the annual sales budget process, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and securing approval from executive leadership.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure all sales activities are integrated with broader business goals, supporting overall company growth targets.
- Directly manage and inspire the sales management teams to achieve both individual and collective performance objectives through effective coaching and support.
- Cultivate relationships with key clients by meeting regularly with them and assisting Industry Cluster Sales Managers as well as Regional Sales Managers in maintaining strong partnerships.
- Ensure achievement of revenue targets by implementing robust people management practices, conducting regular performance reviews, recognising achievements, and facilitating pipeline review meetings.
- Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor progress rigorously, and continuously refine processes to enhance efficiency across all sales channels.
- Evaluate current business distribution channels on an ongoing basis, addressing conflicts proactively while ensuring alignment with territory plans for optimal market coverage.
- Expand the Key Account Business by building lasting client relationships and ensuring compliance with international agreements set by the parent organisation.
- Drive the direct focus of the sales organisation towards an industry- and application-driven approach while preparing detailed sales reports for executive review.
What you bring:
To excel as Vice President of Sales in this organisation, your background should reflect substantial experience leading complex sales functions within industrial or engineering-focused sectors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating deep understanding of technical sales environments.
- At least ten years’ proven experience in senior sales roles within industrial products or systems—preferably involving pumps, metering pumps, controllers & sensors, water treatment equipment such as UV & ozone systems or similar engineering solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans for future business direction while managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organisational skills.
- Track record of using sound judgement combined with creative thinking to accomplish complex goals within agreed timelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to coach, motivate, and nurture high-performing teams while working collaboratively across departments.
- Fluency in English and Thai (both verbal and written) allowing you to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally.
- Comprehensive P&L responsibility coupled with advanced negotiation skills for contract review and commercial terms discussions involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM systems—ideally SAP C4C or SAP ERP—enabling efficient pipeline management and accurate corporate reporting.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Thailand as well as regionally (Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia) and internationally as required by business needs.
- Deep awareness of regional market influences along with sensitivity to customer requirements and competitor activity.
