Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to drive the success and growth of their Life Science & Diagnostics business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in implementing strategies that will achieve revenue budgets, expand product portfolios, and grow revenue through partnerships or acquisitions. The candidate will be responsible for managing business operations, preparing sales forecasts and budgets, and coaching direct reports.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's Life Science & Diagnostics business. Your excellent strategic planning skills will be crucial in setting goals and developing strategies that will propel the growth of the assigned business. You will lead a dedicated team in implementing these plans to achieve revenue budgets. Your role as the primary contact for Business Partners will involve securing the right level of support while also identifying new opportunities to expand the product portfolio. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in managing business operations, preparing sales forecasts, monitoring revenues against forecasts, and identifying areas for improvement. Your commitment to nurturing talent will shine through as you coach and develop your direct reports.

  • Set goals, develop strategies and plan to drive growth of the assigned business.
  • Lead a team to implement the plan to achieve revenue budgets.
  • Be a primary contact and work with Business Partners (manufacturers) to secure the right level of support.
  • Research and identify new opportunities (new Business Partners, new products) to expand product portfolio.
  • Manage business operation to ensure desired productivity is achieved.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts.
  • Identify problem areas and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve overall performance.
  • Coach and develop direct reports.
  • Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Manager role brings a wealth of experience in selling Life Science businesses. With at least 5 years under your belt in this field, you have a deep understanding of the industry and are ready to take on the challenge of driving growth in our client's Life Science & Diagnostics business. Your excellent command of English communication, coupled with your Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biology, sets you apart. Your experience in Clinical Diagnostics in the medical channel will be highly advantageous. You are known for your strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and your knack for strategic and analytical thinking. Your customer-oriented approach and people management experience make you an ideal fit for this role.

  • Excellent command of English communication (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing)
  • Hold Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biology
  • At least 5 years of experience in selling Life Science business
  • Experience in Clinical Diagnostics in the medical channel is a plus
  • Strong in sales profession
  • People management experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, negotiating, and problem solving skill
  • Strategic, analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful and has initiative
  • Customer oriented and people oriented
  • High & demonstrable sense of entrepreneurship
