Key Account Manager – Commercial Vehicle/ Heavy Equipment

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Sales Professional to manage our Off-Highway business in the vibrant city of Bangkok. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving growth, profitability, and market share across our Independent Aftermarket, Off-Highway Specialist Dealer network. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop and implement strategic sales plans and business strategies to achieve revenue/profit targets and drive expansion into various segments including Mining, Construction, Marine, Power Gen, and Agriculture.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager for Commercial Vehicles based in Bangkok, you will play a crucial role in managing our Off-Highway business. Your primary responsibility will be to drive growth and profitability across our Independent Aftermarket network. You will be tasked with developing strategic sales plans that align with our business strategies. Your role will also involve expanding into various sectors such as Mining, Construction, Marine, Power Gen and Agriculture. You will manage key account relationships while overseeing KPI tracking and analysis. Regular customer visits will form part of your routine as well as conducting market analysis.

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans and business strategies to achieve revenue/profit targets
  • Driving expansion into the Mining, Construction, Marine, Power Gen, and Agriculture segment in Thailand
  • Managing key account relationships, customer acquisitions, and ongoing sales activities
  • Overseeing KPI tracking, analysis, and corrective actions related to turnover, profitability, pricing, and customer acquisition projects
  • Conducting regular customer visits, market analysis, and competitive intelligence gathering
  • Spearheading off-highway portfolio expansion, product coverage optimization, and competitive positioning initiatives
  • Analysing sales performance, market trends, and internal management reports to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensuring efficient account receivables management and on-boarding of new accounts as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Key Account Manager - Commercial Vehicle role will bring a wealth of direct sales experience, preferably within the Off-Highway segment or a similar industry. You will have demonstrated success in a multinational or corporate environment, showcasing your strong sales acumen and negotiation skills. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to engage effectively across all levels within the organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is essential, as is a willingness to travel extensively within the country. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is also required.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of direct sales experience in the Off-Highway segment or similar industry
  • Proven track record of success in a multinational/corporate environment
  • Strong sales acumen with negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively across all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Independent working style with willingness to travel extensively within the country
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
