An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Sales Manager to join a leading exhibitions organisation based in Bangkok. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on nurturing and supporting sales teams, with a focus on both domestic and inbound international sales. You will play a pivotal part in driving the success of exhibitions across the manufacturing, garment, and beauty sectors by coaching your team to achieve their best. The organisation offers an inclusive environment where your interpersonal skills and commitment to growth are highly valued. What you'll do:
As a Group Sales Manager – Exhibitions, you will be responsible for guiding your team towards achieving ambitious sales goals by providing empathetic coaching rather than focusing solely on individual targets. Your day-to-day will involve monitoring performance via advanced CRM systems like Salesforce, ensuring that each member of your team feels supported in their professional journey. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver outstanding exhibitions tailored to the manufacturing, garment, and beauty industries. By analysing market trends and client needs, you will help shape effective strategies that drive both domestic and international inbound sales. Your ability to foster an inclusive atmosphere where everyone’s contribution is valued will be key to your success in this role.
- Coach and mentor a team of sales professionals to maximise their productivity and performance through regular feedback sessions and supportive guidance.
- Monitor sales activities using CRM dashboards such as Salesforce to ensure accurate tracking of progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop strategies for both domestic sales and inbound international sales, focusing on building long-term relationships with clients in the manufacturing, garment, and beauty industries.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of exhibition projects and alignment with organisational goals.
- Analyse market trends and customer needs to tailor sales approaches that resonate with target audiences across multiple sectors.
- Support the implementation of best practices in sales processes, ensuring all team members are equipped with the latest tools and knowledge.
- Foster a positive team environment where open communication, empathy, and mutual support are prioritised.
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance for senior management, highlighting successes as well as areas requiring additional attention or resources.
- Contribute to the development of new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and nurturing existing relationships through considerate follow-up.
- Champion the use of technology in streamlining sales operations while maintaining a warm and personable approach with clients.
What you bring:
Your background includes significant experience in managing or coaching successful sales teams within exhibitions or related industries. You bring strong technical proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce, allowing you to monitor progress effectively while keeping your team motivated. Your interpersonal strengths shine through in every interaction—whether you’re mentoring colleagues or engaging with clients from various sectors such as manufacturing, garment, or beauty. You have demonstrated an ability to analyse complex data sets to inform strategy while always prioritising empathy and collaboration over competition. Your communication style is clear yet considerate; you excel at building lasting relationships based on trust. Above all else, your commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone around you feels valued and supported.
- Proven experience in managing or coaching sales teams within the exhibitions or events industry, ideally covering both domestic and international markets.
- Strong familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for monitoring team performance and managing client relationships efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for nurturing talent and supporting others’ professional growth within a collaborative setting.
- A deep understanding of the manufacturing, garment, or beauty sectors is highly desirable for tailoring solutions to client needs.
- Ability to analyse data from multiple sources to inform strategic decisions that benefit both the team and wider organisation.
- Outstanding communication skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A track record of implementing best practices in sales processes while encouraging knowledge sharing among colleagues.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered to contribute their ideas.
- Experience preparing detailed reports for senior management that highlight achievements as well as areas for further development.
- A flexible approach that allows you to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of service.
