What you'll do:

As Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience by overseeing all aspects of bar operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing beverage preparation with an eye for detail, organising monthly events that bring people together, conducting regular stock takes to maintain efficient inventory control, placing timely orders for supplies based on business needs, reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy in sales reporting, updating menus to reflect current offerings, adhering to legal requirements around employment practices and health standards, maintaining a spotless bar environment free from hazards or violations, collaborating with event coordinators for successful functions, resolving customer complaints with empathy according to company guidelines, managing staff recruitment and training processes as well as scheduling payroll duties. You will also assess staff performance through appraisals while strategising ways to enhance their growth. By actively participating in management meetings and decision-making processes alongside your peers, you will contribute valuable insights that drive continuous improvement across the venue.

  • Oversee the daily preparation of beverages, ensuring every drink served meets high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Create engaging monthly events for both members and staff, fostering a sense of community and connection within the venue.
  • Conduct thorough stock takes of every bar area and all beverage storage facilities on the last Sunday of each month, ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Report any shortages in bar stock, including glasses and equipment, promptly so that operational needs are met without disruption.
  • Place orders for inventory based on business requirements and budgetary guidelines, maintaining optimal stock levels at all times.
  • Review sales figures and beverage costs regularly, reconciling discrepancies in accounting to support responsible financial management.
