Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Channel Manager for their Traditional Trade and E-commerce sectors. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Channel Manager for Traditional Trade & E-commerce (Sales), your role will be pivotal in driving the market performance of these sectors. You will be responsible for collaborating with various teams to ensure execution excellence across all aspects of the business. Your role will involve managing marketplace and official stores, monitoring key sales KPIs, implementing trade marketing plans, evaluating promotional effectiveness, developing POP materials, conducting market visits, and preparing comprehensive sales performance reports. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this role.

  • Drive in-market sales achievement and growth of E-commerce and Retail, especially in the Traditional Trade Channel
  • Collaborate with distributor’s sales team to ensure execution excellence in account/outlet penetration, product & SKU portfolio expansion, and joint promotion activities implementation
  • Manage marketplace and official stores, including setup, activities planning, monitoring of customer order fulfilment and customer enquiries
  • Monitor E-commerce Channel contribution per customer and key sales KPIs
  • Ensure end-to-end operating process for internal and external to avoid out-of-stock situations
  • Implement trade marketing execution plan in Traditional Trade channel to achieve sales target, distribution, budget & campaign objectives
  • Evaluate trade promotion effectiveness comparing to budget spending and volume incremental
  • Develop schematic POP materials to effectively meet the campaign objective and result each channel
  • Conduct market visits to ensure effective implementation and timely solutions for in-field operations problems; check FIFO at the store level and ensure merchandising standards are met
  • Prepare monthly sales performance reports including analysis of sales data and competitive activities

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Channel Manager - Traditional Trade & E-commerce (Sales) role will bring a wealth of experience in FMCG Traditional Trade sales and/or E-commerce. You will have a degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Your ability to work effectively with distributors, coupled with your self-driven nature and excellent interpersonal skills, will set you apart. Your basic analytical and problem-solving skills will be crucial in this fast-paced environment. Fluency in local language and English is required, as well as proficiency in PowerPoint, Words and Excel.

  • Bachelor/Degree holder in Business, Marketing, Food Science or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in FMCG retail sales and/or E-commerce sales and marketing
  • Experience in Traditional Trade/General Trade or Trade Marketing is advantageous
  • Experience working with distributors is preferred
  • Self-driven with initiative and sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Displays basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in local language and English
  • Computer skills: PowerPoint, Words and Excel
