Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Traditional Trade to join their team. This role is based in the vibrant city of Bangkok, with a flexible work-from-home policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing traditional trade business with distributors and van operators, overseeing operations, sales performance, market penetration and execution of marketing and trade activity plans. What you'll do:
As the Head of Traditional Trade, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our client's business. You will be tasked with delivering on target revenues, growth projections, and profitability for traditional trade channels. Your expertise will be utilised in developing business plans and strategies aimed at growing the traditional trade business and increasing market shares. You will manage relationships with distributors and van operators, ensuring perfect execution of agreed plans and programs. Monitoring sales performance, evaluating trade efficiency, understanding market situations and trends will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will oversee sales activations and program executions while being responsible for P&L budgets.
- Deliver agreed Target Revenue, Growth Projection and Profitability for Traditional Trade channels.
- Develop business plan and strategies to grow Traditional Trade business and market shares.
- Manage distributors and van operators from agreeing contracts, target-setting, annual operational planning, performance reviews, capability development.
- Monitor and evaluate the sales performance, trade efficiency, market situation and trends.
- Oversee and plan sales activations and program executions with responsibility for P&L budget and result.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Head of Traditional Trade position brings a wealth of experience in managing open trade operations within the FMCG sector. With a minimum of 5 years' experience under your belt, you have demonstrated consistent achievement of strong results. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration or a related field. You are a strategic thinker who excels at developing data-driven initiatives that deliver tangible business results. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with distributors, stakeholders, and internal teams. You possess strong business acumen and financial literacy. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing open trade especially van operations for FMCG food and beverage or consumer goods.
- Trade Marketing experiences is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinker with proven ability to develop data-driven strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business acumen with financial literacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency both in spoken and written English.
