Sales Manager - Building Materials

This position is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial direction of a building materials business to deliver long-term, profitable growth. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, focusing on market expansion, business performance, and competitive positioning across assigned segments.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Business Direction

  • Lead the formulation and execution of the overall commercial strategy to support sustainable business growth

  • Define growth priorities, target markets, and commercial focus areas for both existing and new initiatives

  • Evaluate expansion opportunities, including new applications, customer groups, or product categories

Market Insight & Business Performance

  • Monitor market dynamics, customer demand patterns, and industry developments

  • Evaluate business performance using key commercial indicators such as revenue development, margin quality, and market penetration

  • Identify key opportunities and challenges impacting short- and long-term business performance

Planning & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Establish clear commercial objectives, sales targets, and performance metrics

  • Convert strategic direction into practical execution plans with defined timelines and milestones

  • Drive go-to-market approaches, pricing frameworks, and route-to-market effectiveness

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Align and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of commercial plans

  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers

  • Optimize the use of resources to support business priorities and performance targets

Risk & Business Continuity

  • Identify commercial and operational risks that may impact business outcomes

  • Develop mitigation actions to manage uncertainty and protect business continuity


Qualification:

  • Experience in sales leadership, commercial management, or business development within building materials, construction-related, or industrial sectors

  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and improve commercial performance

  • Strong strategic mindset combined with practical execution capability

  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
