What you'll do:
As the ASEAN Seating Sales Head, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy across Southeast Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions tailored to customer requirements. You will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of sales initiatives. - Oversee all commercial and advanced sales activities within assigned ASEAN countries, ensuring alignment with both global and Asia sales leadership teams.
- Provide strategic insights into competitive market trends, conditions, and opportunities to inform sales planning, customer strategies, and product direction.
- Develop targeted programmes aimed at acquiring new business while enhancing existing accounts with a focus on sustainable profitability.
- Lead quotation processes by coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely proposal delivery and drive price negotiations through to final agreement.
- Negotiate or support the negotiation of customer contracts to secure favourable terms for both the company and its clients.
- Maintain robust relationships with OE customers, especially key decision-makers, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
- Support the function head in developing long-range plans and building annual budgets that reflect market realities and organisational goals.
What you bring:
Your extensive background in commercial sales within Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier environments equips you with the knowledge required to excel as an ASEAN Sales Head.
- Fluency in English is essential for effective communication across diverse teams and clients throughout the region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Economics provides a solid foundation for understanding technical products and commercial strategies.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers ensures familiarity with industry standards and practices.
- At least 20 years of commercial sales experience demonstrates your proven track record in driving business growth within complex environments.
- Proficiency in reviewing cost and financial analysis models as well as preparing quotations enables accurate forecasting and pricing decisions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills allow you to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with clients across global regions enhances your ability to navigate multicultural business landscapes.
- Familiarity with financial metrics and collaboration with finance teams supports sound decision-making processes.
- Proficiency in Japanese, Chinese or Korean is considered an asset for engaging with international clients.
