An exciting Head of Business Development job (x1 vacancy) has just become available at one of the most respected global Energy company based in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a role for a Business Developer who is a leader in their field.
About the Head of Business Development Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside four other country marketing directors. You will also take the lead providing direction to all marketing-related activities, including brand management, market research, events management and directory/league table submissions.
The salary range is 200,000-300,000 THB + bonus + group insurance
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relevant local partnerships for project proposals and service delivery
- Acquire new business with commercial clients/real estate developers who have cooling needs
- Lead the full-service provision cycle from pre-invitation to tender, managing the bid through to account management
- Respond to all leads & invitations to tender in a timely and professional manner
- Develop go-to-market strategy for the country, including key customer segments to address, and products/solutions to be addressed
- Establish industry specific strategy through leveraging on products and services within the organisation
- Drive the origination, prioritisation and securing of green field & brown field opportunities
- Partner with internal stakeholders in ensuring seamless delivery of solutions to customers
- Build and maintain effective and constructive relationships with regulators and government departments in Thailand
- Drive results by executing relentlessly and troubleshooting issues proactively
- Any other duties as assigned by reporting officer
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in sales/BD leadership role
- Proven track record in district cooling/chiller/cooling system BD, sales and partnerships, plus some exposure to investments, M&A, and/or strategic partnerships
- Five years of experience with innovative energy solutions
- Good knowledge and appreciation of the value propositions of various types of energy solutions such as district cooling/heating, tri-generation, energy management systems
- This includes regulators, government agencies, and end users (such as developers and owners of commercial & industrial parks/estates/buildings/factories)
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Fluent in Thai and English
- Driven and has high learning agility
