About the Sales Manager - Metal Coating, IL-MRO Role:
As the Sales Manager, you will collect business intelligence on prospective customers including industry, manufactured products, new opportunities by product line, manufacturing locations, identification of key decision makers/influencers at local, divisional and corporate levels.
- Secures new business and expanding existing business through strategic account development and soliciting orders for products/services
- Promotes new business development through strategic protective coating & IL/MRO account development
- Identifies potential strategic customers with annual purchases of our products with set annual targets
- Develops sales and technical strategies, tactics, and programs to implement new business
- Coordinates and communicates global sales activities with management, distribution and field sales personnel
- Uses CRM as a centralised customer data base
- Negotiates and/or facilitates the negotiation of corporate agreements, such as non-disclosure, confidentiality, pricing and other commercial agreements
- Works technically with end user customers and distributors to better educate the market place regarding products towards ensuring product meets application requirements to exceed customers’ expectations
To succeed in this Sales Manager - Metal Coating, IL-MRO role, you will need to be NACE certified in protective coatings with three years relevant industry experience.
- College/university degree (preferably in Chemistry or science related subject)
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong sales aptitude
- Listening skills and attention to detail
- Must have some chemistry understanding with a preferred industrial experience
- Coating experience highly desired
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, changing environment
- Ability to develop sound, quantifiable, fact-based plans
- Ability to respond to complex inquiries and business issues from customers, sales
