What you'll do:

As a Purchasing/Merchandising Manager in our Fresh Produce department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing purchasing strategies. Your expertise in sourcing within the Fresh CAT sector will be invaluable as you manage supplier relationships, conduct market research, and evaluate vendor offers. You'll also work closely with our warehouse staff to ensure proper storage of fresh produce.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for fresh produce
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Prepare cost analyses and set appropriate benchmarks
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Purchasing/Merchandising Manager role will bring proven experience from a similar role within the Fresh CAT sector. Your ability to conduct market research, coupled with your strong negotiation skills, will be key to your success in this role.
