Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dependable Trade Compliance Lead to join their team in Bangkok. What you'll do:

As a Trade Compliance Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of international trade compliance within our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all activities align with local and global laws and regulations. You will manage duty privileges of FTA and BOI processes, acting as the main point of contact for various stakeholders. Your expertise will be vital in providing operational guidance on international trade compliance matters, monitoring import/export processes, and conducting audits. This role requires a strong commitment to ensuring compliant operations at all times.

• Manage activity related to international trade compliance in Thailand that complies with local and global laws, and regulations.
• Manage duty privileges of FTA and BOI (Duty Suspension) privilege processes.
• Act as the focal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders such as BOI, Customs, DIW, DFT, and others.
• Provide operational international trade compliance guidance to related parties.
• Monitor import/export/FTA/BOI/HS code/export control classification processes.
• Support superior to manage the customs broker's performance by coordinating with the logistic team.
• Perform an international trade compliance audit for both related internal and external parties.

If you are also a Certified Customs Specialist from the Thai Customs Department, it would be a significant advantage.

• 8-10 years of direct experience managing customs and international trade compliance activity in an MNC.
• Effective communication across regional and local cross-functional organisations.
• Ability to work in a digitalisation environment and adapt to digital transformation in the working process.
• Confident, self-motivated, good at critical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure independently with limited guidance.
• Certified Customs Specialist from the Thai Customs Department is a plus.
• Experience in import - export of chemical will be advantage
