Our client is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join their team in Bangkok. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and maintain the procurement and contract management functions within a dynamic organisation. What you'll do:

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's organisation. You will be at the forefront of developing and delivering procurement strategies that maximise resources while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the daily operations of the Procurement Department, managing key supplier relationships, developing annual departmental cost-saving targets, producing regular performance reports, and providing expert advice on advanced purchasing methods. Your commitment to excellence will drive your success in this role.

  • Develop, deliver and maintain a Procurement Strategy across the organisation
  • Lead the daily operations of the Procurement Department
  • Manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service, and quality
  • Develop and agree annual departmental cost saving targets for the annual Budget process
  • Produce regular reports on performance and provide comprehensive management information and in-depth analysis when requested
  • Provide expertise on advance purchasing methods and techniques, current technology, vendor competence and competitive market conditions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager position brings a wealth of experience in senior procurement roles within high volume medium/large organisations. You have a proven track record of leading tenders for goods and services from inception to ongoing monitoring of contract performance. Your strong planning and organisational skills enable you to manage your time effectively while your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build effective working relationships across departments. Your ability to negotiate effectively coupled with your keen attention to detail makes you an asset to any team.

  • Bacherlor's or higher degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a senior procurement role in a high volume medium/large organisation.
  • Experience of procurement and contracts in an educational environment highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading the organisation and management of tenders for goods and services from inception to on-going monitoring of contract performance.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing the continuous improvement cycle and implementing policies and procedures
  • Proven experience of auditing and evaluating suppliers’ performance and of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building positive relationships with external bodies and other organisations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
