What you'll do:
As a Procurement Manager, you will be at the heart of managing both general procurement processes as well as those specific to the Water and Leisure business sector. You will be instrumental in crafting operational plans that align with the company's strategic objectives. Your role will involve steering demand forecasting, specifications, cost appraisal, and timing to ensure optimal purchasing costs and lead times. You will also be tasked with creating and assessing lists of contractors/vendors/suppliers against defined criteria. A key part of your role will be supervising contract preparation, negotiation, and execution with selected contractors/vendors/suppliers.
- Craft operational plans for general procurement and Water and Leisure business procurement processes to align with functional strategy and objectives
- Steer demand forecasting, specifications, cost appraisal, and timing to optimise purchasing cost and lead time
- Create and assess lists of contractors/vendors/suppliers against defined criteria
- Supervise contract preparation, negotiation, and execution with selected contractors/vendors/suppliers
- Nurture relationships with contractors/vendors/suppliers and optimise supply base
- Negotiate contracts collaboratively with legal teams to establish optimal terms, conditions, pricing, and key performance indicators
- Offer product pricing information services and insightful procurement-related advice
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager role will bring a wealth of sourcing, procurement or related experience to the table, preferably within the intergrated water management industry. You will have at least 3 years of managerial experience and a proven track record in nurturing relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. Your exceptional negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role. Experience in communicating and building vendor/supplier relationships is essential, as is knowledge and experience in using ERP applications.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of sourcing, procurement or related experience; preferably in the water recreation or related industry
- At least 3 years of managerial experience
- Updated knowledge on the development of procurement systems, processes, policies etc.
- Proven track record in nurturing relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of favourable deals
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mentality
- Experience in communicating and building vendor/supplier relationships
- Knowledge and experience in using ERP applications
