An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned procurement professional to take on the role of Head of Procurement. This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. What you'll do:

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a crucial role in shaping the procurement strategy of our organisation. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding a dynamic team towards achieving optimal performance and efficiency. You will establish robust relationships with suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, monitor market trends for opportunities, oversee the entire procurement process, conduct regular supplier evaluations, manage budgets effectively, stay updated on industry best practices, and spearhead warehouse management initiatives.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favourable pricing and conditions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with budgetary and operational constraints
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and product innovation
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance, quality, and reliability, taking corrective actions as necessary
  • Manage the purchasing budget and expenditures, optimising spending to achieve cost-efficiency and financial objectives
  • Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in procurement and supply chain management, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation
  • Develop and implement central warehouse management which will provide warehouse services across business units

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Head of Procurement role will bring a wealth of experience in procurement and supply chain management. You will have a proven track record of strong leadership, inspiring and motivating your team to achieve their best. Your excellent negotiation skills, combined with your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships, will be key to your success. A solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor relationship management is essential. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is required, with experience in using SAP being a distinct advantage. Your ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment will set you apart.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor relationship management
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. Experience in using SAP is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English and Thai languages
