An exciting Regional Category Buyer - Long Chain & Luaric Chemical job has just become available at one of the most respected global manufacturing firms based in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the cluster procurement director, this is a role for an expert of chemical sourcing especially in oleochemicals category who would like to step up to regional remit.
About the Regional Category Buyer - Long Chain & Luaric Chemical Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad sourcing and procurement strategy for direct material category which compose of Long Chain (fatty) Alcohol & Luaric Oils. You will enjoy attractive bonus for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead negotiation and bidding process for the designated category
- Category management and supplier's relationship management
- To lead cost saving activities and initiatives to improve business margin and profitability
- To lead and drive sustainability program along with partners
To succeed in the Regional Category Buyer - Long Chain and Luaric, you must have a proven track records in sourcing the same category.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry or related filed
- Regional Exposure will be advantage
- Strong business acumen and experience managing complex category
- Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management and negotiations
- Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English
- Abilty to work across the region and mobility
