Purchasing Manager - Medical Device

An exciting Purchasing Manager (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the leading medical devices company based in Bangkok, Thailand. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, this is a role for an expert who has strong procurement skill and proven experience in managing suppliers, import and operations in trading medical devices environment.

About The Purchasing Manager – Medical Device Role:

In this business critical role you will lead purchasing team to manage the company day to day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal standards. You will also collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics of gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels. The salary offered is attractive with performance bonus, provident fund and health insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose new initiatives to improve current purchasing systems which will improve relationship with vendors and cost improvement
• Provide analytic support for procurement of assigned items
• Manage shipment to be on time and coordinate with freight forwarder agent related shipment booking
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding claim issues
• Proceed license per invoice for approval from FDA

The successful Purchasing Manager must have the ability to work effectively and co-cooperatively with other teams, across borders and internal matrix. Possesses hands-on purchasing experience as well as inventory management and import activities.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, logistics or related field
• At least three years of experience in oversea purchasing
• Experienced customs law for goods importation
• Exceptional communicate skill in both English and Thai
• Ability to prioritise and handle pressure from internal and external parties
