What you'll do:

As a Sourcing Manager based in Bangkok, you will be at the forefront of developing strategic sourcing initiatives that drive business growth throughout Thailand. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with internal teams such as merchandising, quality assurance, and compliance to ensure all sourcing activities meet rigorous standards. This is the individual role with the remote working opportunity.

  • Explore diversification of country of origin by evaluating risk versus reward, industry footprint, and organisational needs to optimise sourcing decisions.
  • Provide comprehensive market intelligence to stakeholders regarding current market conditions and emerging innovation opportunities within Thailand.
  • Proactively identify and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with the Global Sourcing Manager to ensure consistency with overall business goals.
  • Quickly assess new potential vendor capabilities to meet criteria for direct import opportunities, ensuring the best fit for evolving business requirements.
  • Develop new factory sources while influencing existing factory partners to adapt to future business needs as they progress.
  • Interface and partner co-operatively with merchandising, quality assurance, and compliance teams to certify and validate qualified factories and vendors.
  • Educate factories and vendors so they fully understand company processes, protocols, and compliance requirements for successful collaboration.
  • Follow up on import orders to ensure timely shipment execution by assisting vendors in working effectively with service providers.
  • Review vendor performance regularly to address improvements across sourcing, merchandising, quality assurance, and logistics operations.
  • Take responsibility for additional projects or duties assigned by the leadership team on an ad hoc basis.
