About the Research Development Strategist - Health Economic Role:

This Research Development Strategist - Health Economic position is under the Operations Management Team, which is part of the general management department. Research Development Strategist provides support for research project management. Planning and development of systems related to conducting strategic research, etc., under the direct supervision of the Operations Management Team Leader. The salary offered is competitive with allowance and bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Research Project Development Planning and Funding
• Research and understand science policies and strategies. research and innovation and other related policies to plan and develop a research management plan of the foundation and support the work of researchers in developing project proposals to meet the strategic plans and needs of the country
• Research and identify opportunities for research proposals and proactive contact and coordination with funding sources. to receive research grants from both internal and external funding sources
• Develop a strategic plan for managing research contracts and funding (Financial Sustainability) in accordance with the vision and mission of the Foundation. and drive the foundation Sustainable research and to establish a systematic database of research project proposals to coordinate with researchers in submitting project proposals to funding sources
• Collect and summarise annual foundation research project data. To report to the head of the operations management team and executives
• Examine research project proposals to ensure they are in accordance with the regulations and policies of the funding sources and the foundation. including the validity of both domestic and international contracts
• Check the completeness and accuracy (Quality Assurance) of the report and the results as specified in the contract on a periodic basis. and/or a complete report, as the case may be
• Coordinate with funding sources to prepare relevant documents. For checking the readiness or assessing the organisation (Auditing / Micro Assessment) before the contract is signed according to the funding source. including checking the accuracy of the reporting of the assessment results from the funding sources
• Coordinate with funding sources to update regulations or manuals for research project management
• Plan and develop research risk assessments and other approaches to monitor and verify research operations to achieve the goals
• Support the operation of the Operations Management team to verify the validity of contracts with agencies or third parties (Terms of References: ToRs)
• Perform other tasks assigned by the head of the operational management team

To succeed in this role, you must have good command of English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Global Health, Public Health, Health Economics, Economics or related field
• Strong interest in working in the above fields and in low- and middle-income countries
• Proficiency in communication in written and spoken English
• Demonstrated ability to management time and the ability to prioritise tasks, including organised and systematic approach to plan and deliver work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
