VP - Litigation Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Bangkok An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation professional to step into a senior leadership role within a prominent organisation based in Bangkok. This position offers the chance to oversee and guide a dedicated team responsible for managing complex dispute and fraud-related matters, while also playing a pivotal part in supporting senior management with critical decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise and mentor a team responsible for handling investigation and dispute matters, ensuring each member feels supported and empowered.
  • Oversee the development of case strategies by reviewing detailed investigation reports as well as legal documentation provided by external parties, maintaining accuracy and compliance at all times.
  • Manage both internal company cases and external disputes, including conducting field fact-finding when necessary to ensure thorough understanding of each situation.
  • Attend court hearings as required, representing the organisation’s interests while managing all aspects of the litigation process from initiation through resolution.
  • Present comprehensive case updates and nuanced risk assessments to senior management, enabling informed decision-making across the business.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Legal as well as various business stakeholders to develop effective resolution strategies tailored to each unique matter.
  • Support the seamless transition of certain legal matters from being managed by external counsel to being handled internally by your team, enhancing efficiency and knowledge sharing within the department.
  • Ensure all investigative activities adhere strictly to regulatory requirements while upholding ethical standards throughout every stage of the process.
  • Foster open communication within your team and across departments, promoting knowledge exchange and continuous improvement in legal practices.
  • Champion best practices in dispute resolution by staying abreast of industry developments and integrating new approaches where appropriate.

What you bring:

  • 8+ years’ PQE with proven experience in litigation or dispute resolution in private practice or in-house, demonstrating the ability to manage complex cases end-to-end.
  • Proven track record overseeing investigations related to fraud, misconduct, regulatory issues, claims or similar areas—experience in insurance or financial services is particularly valued but not essential.
  • Previous experience leading teams or managing multiple cases simultaneously, highlighting your capacity for nurturing talent and fostering collaboration among colleagues.
  • A pragmatic approach combined with commercial awareness that enables you to provide practical solutions aligned with business objectives while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to present complex information clearly to both legal professionals and non-legal stakeholders alike.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities that facilitate effective collaboration across departments as well as positive engagement with external parties such as law firms or regulatory bodies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing investigation reports or preparing legal documents ensures accuracy throughout every stage of each case.
  • Adaptability when handling shifting priorities or transitioning matters from outsourced providers into internal workflows demonstrates resilience under pressure.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards while promoting transparency within your team fosters trust across all levels of the organisation.
