Assistant Legal Manager Salary: Competitive and based on experience (Health Insurance, Variable Bonus, Annual Leave) Location: Samut Prakarn An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Legal Manager to join a well-established retail organisation based in Samut Prakarn. This role offers you the chance to be part of a knowledgeable and supportive legal team, where your expertise will help shape the future of the company’s operations.

What you'll do:

  • Drafting, revising, and negotiating commercial agreements such as lease agreements, service agreements, loan agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and protect organisational interests.
  • Providing clear and considerate legal opinions and advice related to business activities in order to minimise potential risks and support responsible decision-making across departments.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing Power of Attorney documents as requested by other teams within the organisation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Conducting thorough research on legal issues relevant to the company’s operations, sharing findings with colleagues to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes in Thailand that may affect business practices, communicating updates effectively to stakeholders.
  • Supervising 2-3 junior team members by offering guidance, nurturing their development, and encouraging collaborative problem-solving.
  • Coordinating litigation matters with outsourced lawyers while maintaining open communication channels between internal teams and external partners.
  • Performing additional duties as required by management with a dependable attitude and willingness to support broader organisational goals.

What you bring:

  • Holding an LL.B degree demonstrates your foundational knowledge of law necessary for this position.
  • Bringing at least 3-5 years of experience working in legal roles ensures you are familiar with industry standards and best practices.
  • Having hands-on experience reviewing lease agreements allows you to contribute immediately to core business activities.
  • Exhibiting good communication skills in both written and spoken Thai and English enables you to connect effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint supports your ability to manage documentation efficiently.
  • Demonstrating attention to detail helps ensure all legal documents are accurate and compliant with regulations.
  • Showing empathy when supervising junior staff fosters a nurturing environment that encourages growth within the team.
  • Being adaptable allows you to respond positively to new challenges or changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Displaying reliability means colleagues can depend on you for timely completion of tasks and honest feedback.
