Legal and Compliance Officer

An exciting Legal and Compliance Officer (x1 vacancy) job has arisen in a leading firm in Bangkok.

About the Head of Legal Role:

In this business-critical role, you will be the centre of legal and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with legal, policies and guidelines. You will enjoy competitive base salary with variable bonus and insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on general corporate law, as well as transportation and contract laws
• Manage day-to-day corporate administration of the company and its entities, in cooperation with the corporate secretary and the regional legal team;
• Review, negotiate and draft commercial contracts (freight forwarding, logistics, lease, etc.);
• Manage non-insured and insured claims;
• Coordinate with global and local insurance policies;
• Implement compliance and personal data protection programs in cooperation with the Regional Compliance Officer
• Regular communication & reporting with the regional legal team

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law
• Minimum four years of experience as in-house legal counsel or in private practice
• General knowledge in corporate governance, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, insurance and pre-litigation
• General knowledge in compliance related, but not limited to, anti-corruption, international sanctions and personal data protection (PDPA)
• Excellent level of English (both oral & written) with strong interpersonal communication skills
