Compliance and Data Privacy Officer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance and Data Privacy Officer to join their team in Bangkok. This role offers the opportunity to implement and monitor comprehensive Compliance and Data Privacy programmes, providing essential support to the company and its affiliates.

What you'll do:

* Oversee and implement Compliance and Data Privacy programmes ensuring adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures

* Develop, promote, implement, and continuously update corporate compliance programme in light of all applicable legal requirements

* Create, implement, monitor, review, and update policies, procedures, manuals, guidelines related to Compliance and Data Privacy

* Assess risks and formulate risk management guidelines in compliance with relevant laws and regulations

* Formulate, manage, and monitor Compliance-related systems and processes

* Provide summary reports on compliance with Anti-Corruption Policy and Business Conduct Policy

* Manage resolution of Compliance and Data Privacy issues

* Stay current on operations initiatives, compliance/regulatory concerns, changes in the industry

* Fulfil tasks of the Data Protection Officer as defined by the PDPA

* Promote a culture of compliance; develop Compliance and Data Privacy awareness campaigns

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Compliance and Data Privacy Officer role will bring a wealth of experience in compliance, with a particular focus on data privacy.

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in laws, Accounting, Finance or related fields

* Minimum of 7 years of PQE in the compliance field with work experience in data privacy

* Experience as a DPO is advantageous

* Working knowledge of FCPA an advantage

* Excellent communication skills (speaking, writing, listening) in both Thai and English

* Strong commitment to delivery of results; well-organised, detail-oriented ability to multitask

* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Good presentation skills; ability to influence

* Good computer literacy in MS Office programs

* Leadership skills
