Data Privacy Officer

The exciting Data Privacy Officer (x1 vacancy) role is just open at one of the largest vertically integrated polyester chain producers in the world and a leading global manufacturer of wool yarns. The headquarter is in Bangkok, Thailand and established in 6 countries in three major regions of the world – Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe. The corporate structure comprises of four business segments, PET, Polyester, PTA and Wool.

About the Data Privacy Officer:

This position will be responsible for monitoring different company entities in three major regions of the world – Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe to ensure the implementation of data privacy regulations requirement. You will enjoy attractive bonus and provident fund for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the designed policies and procedures as per local data privacy requirements
• Ensure methodology of third-party risk management is implemented and work with legal team to ensure that third-party contracts have required data privacy clause
• Monitor and record all personal data breaches
• Conduct data privacy audits
• Act as key person to the data protection authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
• Reporting any risks or data privacy issues identified at the respective entities
• Conduct a training need analysis to identify required training for personnel handling personal data including conduct training on data privacy and protection
• Conduct privacy impact assessment during a change in process or technology that may process the personal data

The successful Data Privacy Officer shall keen on and experienced in data privacy works including have a good communication in English both writing and speaking.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree of Law / Master’s Degree of Law (preferred)
• Five to seven years' experience in a similar role within a global organisation
• Knowledge of data privacy is required
• Good communication skills, both verbally and written, in Thai/English
• Good relationship-building skills and able to coordinate works
• Possess great work ethics and flexibility and ability to work well under pressure with good speed, focused mindset and good productive
