Lawyer - Data centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lawyer specialising in commercial contract review to join a thriving data centre business based in Bangkok.

What you'll do:

* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts including customer construction agreements, supplier and vendor contracts, EPC and construction documents, shareholder agreements, as well as consulting and professional service arrangements.

* Identify, assess, and manage contractual risks relating to cost control, timelines, liability exposure, performance standards, warranties, penalties for non-compliance, and termination clauses.

* Provide clear and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual terms, risk allocation strategies, and compliance matters throughout all stages of project lifecycles.

* Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and EPC contractors from initial contract structuring through to final execution to ensure optimal outcomes for all parties involved.

* Collaborate closely with project management, construction teams, procurement specialists, finance professionals, and operational staff to ensure all contracts are aligned with technical requirements and commercial objectives.

* Assist in managing disputes or claims arising from contracts by coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary to protect the company’s interests.

* Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and internal legal processes aimed at improving efficiency and consistency across the business.

* Advise on governance matters related to contract management while ensuring adherence to best practices in process improvement initiatives.

* Actively participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights on risk mitigation strategies and support business decision-making processes.

What you bring:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a recognised institution with eligibility or licence to practise law in Thailand or another relevant jurisdiction.

* 5–7 years’ proven experience focusing on commercial or construction contract review within sectors such as data centres, construction, EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction), infrastructure or energy industries.

* Demonstrated expertise in drafting complex commercial agreements as well as EPC construction contracts for large-scale projects.

* Comprehensive understanding of contract risk allocation principles along with hands-on experience addressing project-based legal challenges.

* Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken), enabling effective communication across multicultural teams and international stakeholders.

* Exceptional analytical skills combined with strong negotiation abilities that facilitate positive outcomes during high-stakes discussions.

* Proven track record of managing multiple contracts simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines within a busy project-driven environment.

* Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, procurement officers and finance professionals.

* A proactive approach characterised by open-mindedness, excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset focused on achieving shared business objectives.
