Regional Legal & Compliance Counsel - APAC

A leading organisation in the Asia-Pacific South region is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to join their Legal & Compliance team based in Bangkok.

What you'll do:

As Regional Legal Counsel based in Bangkok, you will be at the heart of legal strategy for a rapidly expanding organisation operating across Asia-Pacific South.

* Lead or support strategic and complex projects such as integrating new business lines related to chilled, spouted pouch, and bag-in-box packaging products across the region.

* Establish harmonised and digitalised policies and tools for contract lifecycle management while coordinating with commercial, finance, and other strategic functions.

* Develop modern ways of working between the Legal & Compliance department and internal customers to ensure consistent legal support across all business lines.

* Build up a strong ethics and compliance culture by engaging regional senior management and deploying new initiatives that enhance awareness throughout the organisation.

* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts autonomously—including agreements with customers and vendors—to support all company functions in the Asia-Pacific South region.

* Manage corporate governance matters for subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with external corporate secretary firms to ensure regulatory compliance.

* Oversee claim management processes and litigation activities, including selection of external law firms and effective coordination throughout dispute resolution.

* Provide expert advice, deliver training sessions, and conduct investigations related to ethics and compliance issues across the region.

* Monitor developments in laws and regulations relevant to the organisation’s operations in ten different countries, ensuring timely updates to internal stakeholders.

* Continuously identify legal, compliance, and regulatory risks while implementing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
